Swedish technology firm, SIRIN LABS, unveiled today (28 August) the world’s first ultra-secure crypto smartphone, FINNEY, in Singapore.
The phone, which was revealed exclusively at COURTS Funan, costs S$899.
FINNEY operates using the company’s own operating system (OS), the SIRIN OS, which is a Google-certified modification of Android.
SIRIN OS is a machine-learning-based Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) that protects FINNEY from online and offline cyber threats.
Designed to overcome security challenges that comes with the use and storage of cryptocurrency on mobile devices, SIRIN OS enables the phone to detect and protect itself from network attacks, host-based attacks, and unsecure device definitions.
FINNEY Smartphone
FINNEY comes pre-loaded with secure email, messaging and call apps including ProtonMail and TrustCall, which provides end-to-end encryption for secure communication.
The OS also powers FINNEY’s embedded cold storage crypto wallet, cybersecurity suite, Token Conversion Service (TCS), and dCENTER app store.
FINNEY’s crypto wallet is a separate hardware from the phone that can be accessed by sliding the back, top part of the phone upwards.
The FINNEY phone also comes with the SIRIN OS dCENTER, a marketplace for decentralised applications (DApps).
FINNEY Specs
The FINNEY is fitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 845, 128GB storage memory, 6GB RAM, SD Memory card slot, a 12MP back camera, and an 8MP front camera.
SIRIN LABS’ flagship phone boasts 3D Gorilla Glass on the back of the device and their signature Shield Element surrounding the camera, sensors, and fingerprint scanner.
