iOS Has Now a Blockchain Ready Opera Touch Browser

Smells like adoption to me. Apple users can now use dApps ( decentralized applications ) straight from their Opera Touch browser without the need of third-party extensions.

Opera touch is the new blockchain and cryptocurrency ready web browser by Apple. It enables users to interact with Web 3 apps and also has a built-in crypto wallet.

Head of Crypto at Opera, Charles Hamel, said in his post:

We believe that the Web of today will be the interface to the decentralized web of tomorrow (Web 3). With built-in Crypto Wallet, the browser has the potential to renew and extend its important role as a tool to access information, make transactions online and manage users’ online identities in a way that gives them more control.”

The Norwegian browser developer emphasizes that the iOS browser supports all ERC-20 tokens, stablecoins and non-fungible tokens.

As for the design, Opera touch for iOS features a dark theme and a light theme. The user interface adjusts to any screen. One other feature of Opera touch is My Flow – a mechanism that allows users to share websites and notes with themselves across multiple devices. Furthermore the browser has private mode and a cookie dialog blocker.

TRON And Opera Touch browser

Some good news for TRON fans, as they can look forward to use TRON powered dApps and also store TRON (TRX) and TRC-standar tokens, according to a press release on May 15.

CEO of TRON, Justin Sun, said:

“We are excited that Opera, a mainstream browser with hundreds of millions of users, will now seamlessly support TRX and other TRON tokens. Soon, Opera users will be able to use dApps on the TRON blockchain.”

This addition of the TRON blockchain will open Opera Touch browser to about 300 TRON dApps with 2.5 million accounts.

You can download Opera Touch browser on Apple App Store.
