US Copyright Office Does Not “Recognize” Craig Wright as Satoshi Nakamoto

The past few days have been a craze in the crypto-space. Craig Wright or “Faketoshi”, the CEO of Bitcoin SV, filed copyright registrations for the Bitcoin white paper authored under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto a few days ago. The US copyright office released a press update regarding the the registration:

“As a general rule, when the Copyright Office receives an application for registration, the claimant certifies as to the truth of the statements made in the submitted materials. The Copyright Office does not investigate the truth of any statement made. In a case in which a work is registered under a pseudonym, the Copyright Office does not investigate whether there is a provable connection between the claimant and the pseudonymous author.”

Craig Wright is not Satoshi

In short, the U.S. Copyright Office doesn’t actually recognize anyone for anything. Ultimately, it is a repository designed for protecting the creators of art and literature.

If Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, he could have easily proven it by using the Bitcoin blockchain, like the real Satoshi would have. Craig Wright is trying every other possible way to prove he is Satoshi other than the way I mentioned above which is the only way that can be trusted.
