Amazon Looking For New Software Developer To Build Blockchain Ads

Amazon recently posted a job offer on Linkedin for a software developer with experience in blockchain. The online retail giant wants to grow its advertisement business by leveraging its online retail data, industry-leading cloud services, and a fast-moving startup culture. The post states:

“Our new team in Boulder, CO is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to work within our Advertising FinTech team focused on a Blockchain ledger, billing and reconciliation systems to provide data transparency on transnational financial data.”

Amazon Wants To Be In The Game

It is quite clear that Amazon sees huge potential in advertisement blockchain. The developer the they look for will have a very important role in the team. He will have the opportunity to define the technical and architectural roadmap for the systems, as it is stated in the job offer.

Of course blockchain advertisement is not something new. There are many examples of companies which utilize blockchain technology to serve ads.

Some of these companies are AdEx a decentralized ad platform and Brave Software, Inc which uses BAT to pay viewers or is getting paid in crypto to serve legit ads on the Brave Browser.Amazon is another story though. They already have a huge number of clients as well as their buying preferences.

Knowing that when the new ad platform finishes the development it will drastically change the way online ad platforms work. Eventually, other big online ad companies will follow Amazon’s example.
